A large golf course in Harborne, it was founded in 1893. The present course opened in 1924 designed by Harry Colt. The clubs cenenary was in 1993, and 125 years was celebrated in 2018.

Harborne Golf Club - history
Harborne Golf Club was founded in 1893 after a circular was sent out by G H Hart to about 25 gentlemen, who attended the Harborne Institute in Station Road to discuss the formation of a golf club.
By March 1895 a disagreement over compensation for grass cuttings the club moved across the road to nine holes at Church Farm.
In 1902 an exhibition match was played between Alexander Herd and Harry Vardon to open an 18 hole course, which had 8 holes at Church Farm and 10 holes on Home Farm.
By October 1924 the present course designed by H S Coltwas opened with a match between J H Taylor and J Williamson verus L Holland and C A Whitcombe.

The club celebrated it's centenary in 1993, and it's 125th anniversary in 2018.
Today the golf course is largely untouched from Colt's original design.
