In brief

The Ascension was built in 1972-73 by Romilly Craze in an Octagonal shape and concrete frame with brick infill. Risen Christ statue by John Bridgeman. The hall was from the former St Hugh's mission church of 1927-28 by S. N. Cooke, it's altar and reredos were by W. Lawson are in the Lady Chapel of the new church. Within the Pineapple estate off Pineapple Road.
