In brief
A Grade I listed medieval manor house, built by Richard de Marnham around 1270. Only the Grand Hall survives the original complex of farm buildings. It was saved from demolition in the 1950s by the West Bromwich Corporation. Was restored in 1957, then for a time became a pub and restauant from 1961 under the Ansells Brewery. But The Manor House Pub and Restaurant closed in 2009. It's now a museum, which Sandwell MBC opened in May 2010.
