Wightwick Manor is in the Tettenhall area of Wolverhampton. The Victorian manor house was built for the Mander family in the late 19th century, and the National Trust has owned it since 1937.

Wightwick Manor - history

The house was built by Edward Ould for Theodore Mander in 1887, with interior design by William Morris and C. E. Kempe.

Wightwick Manor was built of brick with ashlar dressings, timber framing and a tile roof in the Vernacular Revival Style.

The house was later extended in 1893, then owned by the National Trust from 1937.

The house is the legacy of the Mander family's passion for Victorian art and design. The Mander Brothers were 19th century industrialists, who later gave their name to the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton, and had an association with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
